Local and national impications:

-Many people in the uk who live in rural areas cannot access broardband internet
because they live too far from a telephone or cable companies are not able to lay cables for
a small number of subscribers.
-there is also a age issue. old people finding it difficult to come to terms with new tecnology.
-as services become more internet based, old people may struggle to access these facilities.
-internet goods and sevice are often cheaper than their tradional alternatives.
